The fashion is made by the people.

As we approach this year’s fashion week, we announce that we are in the selection process after having received more than fifteen hundred entries in the Digital Pre-Casting for the new faces that will be parading on the catwalk and representing the collections of the this year’s stylists.

Casting takes place in a phased manner. The first phase was the Digital Pre-Casting, which took place from the 5th to the 19th of July, where candidates sent their photos and data to the MFW platform. At this moment, the second phase is taking place, which is the face-to-face casting of competitors who were pre-selected. We received new and young faces with a lot of potential.

The selection process continues smoothly, but slowly, taking into account the pandemic situation, and soon we will announce the faces that will be part of this year’s event.

Remember that the world changed completely due to the pandemic and following the pace of these changes and precautions of COVID-19, the sixteenth edition of the MFW changed too. It evolved into an organization of a hybrid event, to allow that there is no loss of access to the parades that represent Mozambican and African glamour.

The MFW platform, following the NOVA ERA concept, will continue to assume a proud posture in the organization, continuing its transformation into a platform for discovering, encouraging, training and promoting our Mozambican fashion.

About this year’s edition, the event will be in a hybrid and surprising format. However, we don’t know what the future holds, but we are ready for more. The MFW 21 already has a date and we will announce it very soon.
